Originating from Quercus robur ‘Fastigiata’, this cultivar stands out as one of the finest Cypress oaks, maintaining its natural shape as it grows. Its initial compact, columnar form gradually transitions to a slender pyramid shape as it matures, yet it consistently retains its dense foliage. Resilient to urban environments, ‘Fastigiata Koster’ is especially apt for narrow streets and avenues. It’s an excellent option where a grand tree is desired, but space is limited. The added advantage is that the tree is host to all the native flora and fauna that the native species rely on.
